Power wheelchairs typically have a tighter turning radius and can be used easily in your home. Both devices work indoors and outdoors and multiple options are available to choose from. 3. Some lightweight power wheelchairs and scooters can be easily folded down and placed in the trunk of a car, the back of an SUV, or a van. Bigger, heavier power scooters or wheelchairs usually require a lift to place the unit inside a vehicle or a carrier outside the vehicle. There are many options to keep people mobile and safe.
